Edd 'Sock Head' Confusion

Okay, so here's the thing. I'm not a huge Ed, Edd, n' Eddy fan but I love Double D to pieces. He's so cute I love it. And while this is NOT the first time I've drawn him it is the first time I've colored him and as I opened the file I realized...

"Shit...how do I see the hair?!"

Because canon-wise we still have no idea what's going on under that hat (personally, I think it's like how South Park originally had no idea who Mysterion was until the Trilogy, they really don't know what's under there.) ANYWAY. I've seen black hair and blonde hair but I wasn't sure which I liked better. Also for fun I do my shojo-style version of 's under the hat theory. That which is a tangled mess of long, long locks. It's an addicting theory, very fun. Hahaha So I took the original sketch, pasted it three times and did three different versions of the same picture.

It might sound boring but it was a lot of fun. I'm still not sure where I stand about the hair color...but I did decide on mint-green eyes. Isn't that nice? Blue just wasn't working for me.
